THRIFT SHOPPING IN ABUJA.
If you live in Abuja lemme hear you say 'whoop whoop'
Today's post is for us..
Today's post is for us..
denim shorts ranging from #100 - #300 |
I'm always sad when I see all those Lagos people buy cheap
stuffs when they go thrift shopping. Then you go to Wuse market or Garki
and hear them tell you that one top is #2500... It makes me wonder
'won't I just buy a brand new top?'
I gave up on trying to get involved in anything called thrifting (as
long as it's in Abuja) until my friend told me she got office shirts
for #50 each, you read right #50 for nice chiffon shirts that she wears
to work. My ears stood instantly. I was interested in all the details.
tulle skirt for #500 |
You know how the bible said 'seek and you shall find?' well
I sought and I found. Not just one market, but two... Can somebody
join me in thanking God? The first I tried is called Karimo market (
it's close to life camp) and the other is Gosa market (after Lugbe).
I
got really nice stuffs from these markets.. The Karimo market opens new
bail on Tuesday morning while Gosa market opens new bail on Friday
morning.
shiffon shirts between #100 - #500 |
From Karimo market, I got a nice flat shoe for #1500 trust me it has
been worth every bit of the money. Tops for #50 and above. Nice office
skirt for #500 etc
Going to Gosa was one of the best decisions I ever made. I got really
nice shorts for #100 each, some for #300. Blazers for #300. I was
shocked when the guy told me #500 for each blazer, but the pricey me had
to get them for #300 each (laughs in Kanye *proud Laugh*).
Blazer for #300 |
If you're in Abuja and you love thrift shopping like me, be
sure to check these markets out. If you know any other market I should
check out, please let me know.
Just because I know you might need some tips, I got tips from Ifeoma of whowhatfab.com on how to thrift like a pro check it out here and thank me later.
Till next time, have a great week. XOXO
